Daily Programming & Learning

Each day begins with singing, dancing, and laughter. We explore:

  • Languages: French, English, Spanish, and basic sign language

  • Early learning: Numbers, colours, alphabet, shapes, self-introductions, and favourite things

  • Social-emotional growth: Giggles, sharing, and celebrating each child’s unique personality

Behavior Guidance

We use positive reinforcement, redirection, and natural consequences to support appropriate behavior.

Time-outs may be used briefly when necessary. Corporal punishment is never used or permitted.

Outdoor Play and Exploration

Children enjoy:

  • Climbing, tumbling, and hide-and-seek

  • Rainy-day puddle jumping and nature walks

  • Gardening and watching seedlings grow

  • Building self-esteem through positive support and creative play

Outings & Adventures

We take walks to Orange Park for picnics and play, and explore the neighbourhood to discover everyday wonders.

 

***Children will not be transported by vehicle. All outings are done on foot or via my mobile bus—yes, a real bus filled with smiles and giggles!***

Meals & Snacks

Children are offered two nutritious meal choices daily, based on the Canadian Food Guide. They are encouraged—but never forced—to eat. If your child requires a special diet, please provide the necessary food.

Nap & Quiet Time

A two-hour rest period is provided daily. Children are not required to sleep but will be offered quiet, age-appropriate activities.

Clothing

Please dress your child in comfortable, casual clothing suitable for messy play and outdoor activities.

Supplies to Leave at Daycare

All items must be labeled with your child’s name:

  • Favourite cuddle toy or blanket

  • Diapers or pull-ups (I’ll notify you when to replenish)

  • Pacifier

  • Two changes of clothing

  • Sunscreen, creams, or powders you wish to use
