Transition & Communication
Adjustment Period
The first two weeks of care serve as an adjustment period. During this time, I will keep parents informed about how their child is settling in.
Parental Involvement
Parents are always welcome to visit. Please message in advance to ensure it’s a good time for a visit.
Medication Policy
No medication will be administered without written parental permission. Prescription medications must:
-
Be in the original container
-
Include child’s name, medication name, doctor’s name, pharmacy info, and dosage instructions
-
Be accompanied by a signed permission slip
Holidays & Closures
Statutory Holidays
The daycare is closed on all Statutory Holidays. Regular fees still apply if these fall on your child’s scheduled day. Examples include: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve & Day, Victoria Day, Labour Day, Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Civic Holiday, Family Day.
Sick Days
If your child is unwell, staying home helps prevent the spread of illness. If I become ill (rarely), the daycare will close and regular fees still apply if it falls on a scheduled care day.
Program Withdrawal & Termination
Withdrawal Notice
A minimum of two weeks’ written notice is required by either party to terminate childcare. If notice is not provided, parents are responsible for two weeks’ fees, regardless of attendance.

-
Non-compliance with daycare policies or contract
